A real quick getaway

Going out with my besties always be my favorite thing to do. It was so relieving yesterday when i met up with my besties. It's a real quick getaway to help re-energize and refresh myself from all the skripshit things i've been through lately. We went to ITC Fatmawati to buy some DVDs and went to PIM 2 to grab some sushi.

Best finds in ITC Fatmawati:

Rona recommended me to buy Little Mermaid I, II, III DVDs

..and what we're doing there in PIM:

She wished she could be a witch. I wished i could be a devil, who wears Prada, indeed. cx

just another obsecure pose we did

We had so much fuuuun! We laughed till we dropped, we shopped till we broke. haha.

Batik Apparels

I don’t usually like wearing something that so many people wear. I follow trends but not in a freaky way which all people in the mall, at the market, everywhere i see them wearing that fashion thing. It happened when Batik madness was contagious in Jakarta. Everyone were wearing Batik top, Batik dress, even Batik sandals. I appreciated it much. I loved to see people wearing those Batik apparels. They looked good wearing that. It’s so Indonesia! I didn’t wear Batik (like all those people did).. until my mom bought me this dress. I just couldn’t stand to wear it to my best friend dad’s wed.

We were so pretty pretty wearing Indonesian traditional clothes in a modern way

hehehe.. There’s another cute batik dress i wore to my besties’ dinner bday bash 2 months ago. It’s daster actually. ^Daster is Indonesian term for a sleeping dress.^ My mom bought for her self till i begged her to give it to me so that i could wear it as a dress. I wore it with a green leather belt, a pair of brown gladiator sandals, and my daring red Guy Laroche bag. ..and voila! I love myself wearing my batik dress. Hihihi.. I enjoyed my time hanging around with my besties that night wearing my batik dress lookalike.

Jogja.. Never Ending Asia

I am so proud to be a Javanese people, i have to admit that. I would too, if i were Sundanese, Bataknese, Manadonese, etc.. cos me so proud to be an Indonesian with all the exotic cultures we have here.

People around the world know Indonesia from its Bali, but now, so proud to announce you that, hey! we have Jogja with all the uniqueness from its culture. Here in Jogja, there are so many interesting places to visit. Jogja has Kaliurang (a popular mountain resort), Taman Sari (a water castle, used to be female bathing pools), Imogiri (official cemetery of the royal descendents from Jogyakarta and Surakarta), Bringharjo Traditional Market, Parangtritis Beach, Prambanan Temple, and the most famous & most visited street.. Malioboro (full of souvenir stalls and famous for its lesehan foodstalls).

So many stories to tell about my excursion to Jogja this past week. No i didn't visit all the places i've mentioned before cos i've done it like million times in my younger years. ..But those are some new places i visited, never been there before, which're really fun to hang out in. Those places are Alun-Alun Kidul with its famous twin trees, Goa Maria Jatiningsih (my friends Vigara & Puput took me there), and Sky Garden Cafe Resto.

Visiting Jogja, wouldn't be complete without shopping its unique things there. i love love love love to shop in Jogja.

Craving for some Scarves

Latest video from WhoWhatWear TV shows us how to wear ScARveS
(for further please check out http://www.whowhatwear.com/)

Here are some stylepirations:

Alba's

Barrymore's

Meester's & Lively's

How i wore it then..

Dini. Me. Mita. Ribta

The day when we decided to (spontaneously) go to a movie after chitchating in Dini's house. I wore lively colorful skinny scarf & Ribta wore gorgeous black knitting scarf. hihihi.. i still can recall, it was the day when everything went so spontaneous and we had lotta fun, indeed.

The Women

I’m pretty much positive that anything endorsed by Meg Ryan, Eva Mendez, and Jada Pinket will do well. That's the only reason why i can’t hardly wait to watch this movie called The Women. It’s a film written and directed by Diane English. I’ve never heard about her before. Well, it's impressing me! I bet it took her hardwork to direct a movie with so many talented stars in it. The movie will no doubt find its audience. There will be women of a certain age who wholeheartedly embrace friendship. Just like any other “women” movies, The Women unfolds in entirely female world in Manhattan setting. I have a big hope that this movie will give some insights i haven’t found in any other “women” movies.

Someone take me there, please..

full of beauty.. and mystery also

Stonehenge is the most sophisticated stone circle in the world, located in the English county of Wiltshire. It's Britain's greatest national icon, symbolizing mystery, power and endurance for sure. Its original purpose is unclear to us, but some have speculated that it was a temple made for the worship of ancient earth deities. It has been called an astronomical observatory for marking significant events on the prehistoric calendar. Some people say it was designed as a place of sun worship. Each monument was a circular structure, aligned with the rising of the sun at the Solstice. Others claim that it was a sacred site for the burial of high-ranking citizens from the societies of long ago.

Wondering, who built it? The question of who built Stonehenge is largely unanswered, even today. The monument's construction has been attributed to many ancient peoples throughout the years, but the most captivating and enduring attribution has been to the Druids. By this time, though, the stones had been standing for 2,000 years, and were, perhaps, already in a ruined condition.

There’s another story about this Stonehenge was constructed.. It is told by the twelfth century writer, Geoffrey of Monmouth, in his History of the Kings of Britain that Merlin brought the stones to the Salisbury Plain from Ireland. Geoffrey tells that the high king, Aurelius Ambrosius, wanted to create a fitting memorial to the slain men. Merlin suggested an expedition to Ireland for the purpose of transplanting the Giant's Ring stone circle to Britain. The stones were located on "Mount Killaraus" and were used as a site for performing rituals and for healing. Led by King Uther and Merlin, the expedition arrived at the spot in Ireland. The Britons, none of whom were giants (who else could handle the job?!), apparently, were unsuccessful in their attempts to move the great stones. So, Merlin had an idea to dismantle the stones and shipped them back to Britain where they were set up as they had been before, in a great circle, around the mass grave of the murdered noblemen. The story goes on to tell that Aurelius, Uther and Arthur's successor, Constantine were also buried there in their time.

Some people see it as a place steeped in magic and mystery. I think so! One thing interesting me about Stonehenge is.. as i read all the sources, Stonehenge was constructed by the bluestones which are believed in their healing power. They haven’t explained yet how the stones can heal people by something something but it’s worth to wait what science can find next. C=

an Art Exhibition

Good at math

Combo!!

I went to an Indonesian art & craft exhibition in JHCC with mom & dad yesterday. I had fun but none of the products there were really interesting me.. so i bought nothing. They sold things at unffordable prices. It's their last day exhibition but still they sold things expensively. Wondering, why didn't they drop their price at least 30% off so that people didn't just walk around see things they couldn't buy and started buying them at affordable prices?! Maybe this was the only reason, for me, there was nothing interesting me. hehehe.. After spending 2 hours there, me, mom, and dad ended it up in Plaza Senayan. My dad bought a pair of jeans there. Funny thing about him yesterday.. he said that he would wear his new designer jeans at least for the next 2 years. (Somehow, i realize something that my dad's as smart as my mom in spending his money)

Anyway, i decided to wear my newest ruffle plaid top that mom bought me couple days ago. I felt so fresh wearing that orange colour top on my body. huihihihi..
